Our Mission
It is the purpose of NCBMP to be the preeminent organization in educating Black association executives, meeting professionals and humans that believe in excellence in all aspects of the meeting planning profession such that, as a result, NCBMP members will be able to (a) maximize a greater return on the meeting dollar investment for their respective organizations, (b) effect positive change in the hospitality industry, and (c) become a voice in the hospitality industry on issues that affect the events community.
Our Objectives
Through programs and special workshop sessions, conducted at the meetings, the organizations strive:
Advance Professional Education
Provide educational programming, conferences, and workshops that support the growth and advancement of meeting professionals.
Strengthen Industry Leadership
Promote leadership opportunities that elevate the professional standing of Black meeting professionals within the hospitality and meetings industries.
Support Professional Certification
Encourage continued professional development through resources that support the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) credential and other industry certifications.
Build a Powerful Industry Network
Foster a national network of meeting planners, suppliers, and industry leaders who share knowledge, opportunities, and resources.
Create Career Pathways
Help develop future talent by introducing young professionals to careers in hospitality and meetings management.
